The correct technique will also prevent foot injury or pain from protruding staples. The followings are the things that you should do in order to do the correct carpet stapling.

The first thing that you should do is to use a single pre-measured and pre-cut carpet roll for the straight stairs. This will allow you to drape it over the ends of the stairs. This will cover the stairs completely. This will also make sure that the carpet always stays in place. Or, you can also choose to install carpet on each step.

The second thing that you should do is to begin laying the carpet and attaching it at the top of the stairs. Then, you should work to the next bottom of the stairs. Attach the carpet with a tackless strip. You will find that this will hold it into place.

The third thing that you should do is to stretch the carpet out so that it is over to the first step. Then, you should pull the hook and the taut of the carpet into the tackless strip. The strip is at the bottom of the first rise from the top of the stairs.

The fourth thing that you should do is to place the staple gun to the edge of the carpet along the outer edges of the carpeting on the rise. Then, you should pull back the carpet’s fibers.

The next thing that you should do is to release the staple by pulling the trigger. Make sure that you point the staple into the carpeting. After that, you should check whether the staple is visible or not. You should retract it when you can see or feel the staple. Then, you should replace after retracting it with another staple. You should continue stapling the carpet each two-inches. But, you have to make sure that you do not staple the middle part of the steps.

The last thing that you should do is to push staples so that they are completely hidden. When there are no visible staples, you will find that this will be safe for you to step onto it.
